If you are ever in the New Orleans area visiting the French Quarters, be sure to put this park on your list of places to see.  The trolley car actually makes stops at the park, and it truly is a relaxing place to walk around or rest for a while, and the trolley car ride is fun too!

Seaside Florida

Seaside Florida is a quaint little town in South Walton County, in the Northwest Panhandle of Florida, we visited here in Feb. 2011....

It's a charming coastal town.....with art galleries and shops to explore...

And it's only a stone's throw from the beach....

This is a biking community....it's the fastest way to explore the area...I thought this bike was so cute with it's basket full of flowers, this sweet lady resting on the bench was taking a break, but she gave me permission to take this photo of her with her bike....

My favorite things here....the sound of the waves....and the aqua blue color of the water....

Lakeyard Views... Defuniak Springs Florida

This historic area of Defuniak Springs Florida is full of southern charm....the library garden is here above.... behind it is the lakeyard area and Lake Defuniak.....

You'll find the beautiful perfectly round lake and you'll find that a few squirrel's will usually welcome you....

The ducks will usually find you too.....

As well as a few seagull birds...

Oaks By the Bay Park...at St. Andrews Bay Area in Florida

These pictures were taken Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011.....

Florida has so many beautiful things to see and do, and the mild winters make winter time bearable to me....we had a warm front pass through on this particular weekend that I took these pics and the temperature was a perfect 71 degrees.

Now this week is another story... rainy and highs in the 50's....we'll just have to take the good with the bad down here in the south...It's typical winter weather....cold days with some warm fronts along the way....

There's one of my favorite things in life...kitties....that was a nice surprise along the trail....he picked him out a great place to relax didn't he?

These three pictures were taken going over one of the bridges along the way to getting there...love those beautiful blue skies....and the boats docked in the harbor...
